A. The soft foam is actually made of glass hard resin with air pockets in between. Dirt is lifted and trapped by the open cells of the sponge.

A. Melamine foam is non-toxic, and no chemicals are added. You simply use water.
Q3. Can the foam create a chemical burn if rubbed on skin?
A. The foam is absolutely safe material and it will not create chemical burns, but can be abrasive to sensitive skin.
It should never be used to clean skin, as it can "sand" away skin cells.
